Dear Parents

Thank You for your interest in my pre-school, we are very excited to welcome your family into our school!

I bought Little Leaders in 2005 and I am very proud at how my school has grown.

We have a fantastic team of dedicated teachers who strive to create an environment that radiates love and happiness against a backdrop that caters for the educational interest for your child/children.

We have a very family orientated environment and we encourage that active participation of parents in their child’s school career. The school exercises an open door policy and encourage parents to keep the lines of communication open with the school at all times.

We hope that you and your child’s experience at Little Leaders is one that stays with you as a fond memory and as a joyful time in the life of your child/children.

Yours in love and education

Sarah Morrow

School Times
Little Leaders open at 06H30 and closes at 17H15. It is important to collect your child timeously as it causes them upset and stress when they are collected late. Please phone the school if you are going to be late in fetching your child. Children must be accompanied by an adult into the school and handed over to a teacher on duty; likewise, children must be fetched personally. Please let us know if somebody other than yourself will be collecting your child from school.

My staff and I are trained in first aid and should a problem arise armed response are on call.

If your child is ill or will be absent, please call the office between 07H00 and 08H00. If your child has a contagious illness, please keep him/her at home until the risk of infection has passed. Absences may not be made up, nor there any refunds/deductions to fees.

School/Public Holidays
Little Leaders follows the KZN school calendar. We will be closed on all public holidays. Holiday Care will be available at an additional cost. Parents will be given ample notice to plan accordingly.

Potty Training
We will assist you in potty training but in order for the system to work it is important for parents to work in conjunction with the school and continue the training at home.

A birthday is a wonderful event in every child’s life and others love to share in it. Parents are welcome to bring a cake and party treats on the day and are encourage to stay for the birthday ring.

Parents are requested to dress children in clothing that is comfortable and can be dirtied through play. During potty training “accidents”’ will happen and a few extras sets of clothing and underwear should be packed into the bag. Please supply a large zip lock bag for soiled clothing. Please make sure that ALL items of clothing are clearly marked.

For children still in nappies, please send enough nappies for the day, wet wipes and bum cream. Please apply sun cream to child each morning and send a high SPF factor t school so we may re apply when necessary.

Parents are to provide a backpack or similar, clearly marked with his/her name, packed daily with provision (spare clothing, lunch, juice etc) No toys from home will be allowed to come to school. Parents are most welcome to discuss any concerns or queries with me. In the event that toys are brought to school from home, we cannot accept liability for them being lost or stolen.
